The Bresser Messier AR-90/700 is a 90mm refractor from one of Germany's most respected optics brands, and it shows. The fully multi-coated (FMC) lens delivers noticeably sharper, higher-contrast views than the coatings you find on budget beginner scopes, which makes a real difference when you are looking at the moon, planets, or trying to split a close double star.
 
The 700mm focal length at f/7.7 is versatile enough for both planetary work and wider deep sky objects. The two included Kellner eyepieces (20mm and 10mm) give you 35x and 70x out of the box, and the 3x Barlow extends that range to 210x for detailed lunar and planetary sessions.
 
The JWT-50 Theodolite altazimuth mount is steady and smooth, and the stainless steel tripod is more robust than the aluminium legs that typically ship with telescopes at this price. A solar filter and mobile phone adapter are included in the box, which is a nice bonus.
