Startracker 70/700 SkyLand NG Refractor Telescope
Start your stargazing journey with the StarTracker 70/700 NG Refractor, one of India's most popular entry-level telescopes for students, hobbyists, and curious minds alike.
With a 70mm aperture and 700mm focal length (f/10), it delivers crisp views of the Moon, Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons, and deep sky objects up to magnitude 11.7. It works just as well during the day for birdwatching, landscapes, and distant scenery.
What's in the box:
- 70mm refractor optical tube with dew resistant lens shade
- Kellner 25mm, 12.5mm, and 4mm eyepieces (28x, 70x, 175x magnification)
- 2x Barlow lens (doubles magnification)
- 5x24 correct image finderscope
- 90° erecting diagonal for right side up images
- Altazimuth mount with integrated polar wedge (converts to equatorial for night use)
- Full size adjustable aluminium tripod (58 to 101cm height)
Why you will love it: The integrated polar wedge lets you switch from casual daytime viewing to equatorial tracking at night. To do it, simply loosen the thumb knob on the mount, tilt the mount head toward Polaris (the North Star) at an angle matching your city's latitude (roughly 19° in Mumbai, 13° in Bengaluru, 28° in Delhi), and tighten it back. From there, one slow motion knob is all you need to follow stars across the sky as the Earth rotates. Setup requires zero tools, and the whole kit weighs under 5.5 kg making it easy to carry to dark sky spots outside the city.
